Comparison of aortic lumen area and distensibility using cine and phase contrast acquisitions
Aims : Accurate estimates of aortic distensibility can be obtained from both SSFP and PC acquisition throughout the cardiac cycle. Accurate assessment of aortic stiffness is more often obtained from SSFP sequences than from PC sequences. However PC provides flow information and an accurate PWV.
